One of the main causes of knock-knee alignment is valgus deformity of the foot, which involves inward collapse of the ankle. When the foot loses support and tilts inward, it pulls the knee along through the biomechanical chain. This process causes internal rotation of the knee, resulting in an X-shaped leg alignment.
